RSD – Boulder Setter

The RSD Level 1 Boulder Setter is a one day direct entry qualification course for climbers which will focus on: route setting good practice for bouldering; the creative process; setting for children; hold attachment; ladder use; Work At Height regulations; equipment / tools; setting productivity. The course is mainly practical and will include a good amount of bouldering so please bring your climbing kit.

The course will be taught by Kevin Kilroy, Professional Route Setter, RSA Trainer and Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor.

This course is approved for 1 MTA or 1 AMI CPD point.

Personal requirements: You must be medically able to work at height.

Equipment: All Personal Protective Equipment and setting equipment will be provided, however, you will need your personal climbing equipment for indoor bouldering.

Clothing:Depending on the weather it may be quite cold or hot, please come prepared for this.
