What are the benefits of becoming a member?

I resisted joining the ABC for many years as I couldn’t see the benefit for my company. It was only when I started seeing other walls gaining information that was not generally available that I decided to join, I also realised that our walls experience could help others too.

The climbing wall industry is growing fast and we must protect it’s future by ensuring that they are safe and legally conforming places for all to visit and enjoy. In the ABC many experienced wall owners and managers pool their expertise for the benefit of the members so best practise prevails.

Association of British Climbing Walls

The Association of British Climbing Walls represents 70% of the large and medium climbing and bouldering walls in the UK.

Joining the ABC is the best way to ensure that your wall meets climbing wall industry best practice guidelines. ABC members get access to guidance, reports and in-depth analysis of the issues affecting our industry. There are also seminars, newsletters and a members forum to help you stay in touch with what’s going on in the world of indoor climbing.

Membership is open to all climbing walls that are able to commit to some simple safe operational procedures.
