What are the benefits of joining the ABC?
Joining the ABC is the best way to ensure that your wall meets the climbing wall industries best practise guidelines. ABC members get access to guidance, reports and in depth analysis of the issues affecting our industry. There are also seminars, newsletters and a members forum to help you stay in touch with what’s going on in the world of indoor climbing.
The ABCTT AGM takes place as part of the ABC AGM during the afternoon of 28th September 2017. They have asked us…
I resisted joining the ABC for many years as I couldn’t see the benefit for my company. It was only when I started seeing other walls gaining information that was not generally available that I decided to join, I also realised that our walls experience could help others too.
The climbing wall industry is growing fast and we must protect it’s future by ensuring that they are safe and legally conforming places for all to visit and enjoy. In the ABC many experienced wall owners and managers pool their expertise for the benefit of the members so best practise prevails.Dave Douglas – MD Awesome Walls
Association of British Climbing Walls (ABC)

Here you’ll find details on all things climbing related, from how to find a wall near you through to a simple concise Code of Conduct for wall operators. The ABC was formed in 1994 to develop standards and operating procedures for the growing UK climbing wall industry. Today the association is recognised as the representative body for climbing walls by Insurance Companies, the Health & Safety Executive and the BMC.
Membership is open to all climbing walls that are able to commit to some simple safe operational procedures.
What you'll find in the members section...
For members of the ABC there’s a members only area with downloads, reports and a forum to connect you with other members.
