Association of British Climbing Walls (ABC)

Welcome to the Association of British Climbing Walls. Here you’ll find details on all things climbing related, from how to find a wall near you through to a simple concise Code of Conduct for wall operators. The ABC was formed in 1994 to develop standards and operating procedures for the growing UK climbing wall industry. Today the association is recognised as the representative body for climbing walls by Insurance Companies, the Health & Safety Executive and the BMC.

Membership is open to all climbing walls that are able to commit to some simple safe operational procedures.

What you'll find in the members section...

For members of the ABC there’s a members only area with downloads, reports and a forum to connect you with other members.

You’ll also be able to quickly and easily submit accident reports to help us in our effort to lower the cost of climbing wall insurance.
