Risk Assessments

Please send your risk assessments to scott@abcwalls.co.uk no later than one week prior to the conference start.

Your Stall/Booth/Stand

Your booth is a completely blank space to do with as you wish (with the exception of electricity – either 3-phase or a standard extension – and a table).

The maximum height for your stall is 5m-7m – it is your responsibility to accurately risk assess your stall height.

NB: YOU WILL NOT HAVE ELECTRICITY OR A TABLE IF YOU DID NOT REQUEST THEM IN YOUR BOOKING FORM. If you’re in any doubt over whether you requested this, get in touch and we’ll double check for you.

You will receive your lanyards on the morning of the 15th.

Food and Drink

Each booth is entitled to two free meals per meal time, those who have already notified us that they will be bringing extra staff will have been charged accordingly at booking. If you intend to bring more than two staff members and haven’t yet told us, please do so asap as we will need to adjust catering numbers accordingly. There will be Vegan, Gluten Free and Nut Free options for all meals – please let us know if you have any other allergies.

There will be water refill points throughout the hall so please remember to bring your reusable bottles.

Soft drinks, beer, and coffee will be available for purchase on-site.

Yes, there will be one free beer each in the evening.

Setting Up and Breaking Down

Large exhibitors will be invited to set up on Tuesday the 13th (if this is you, you will have been notified) from 12pm.

Site Information

The full site address is;

Magna Science Adventure Centre

Magna Science Park

Magna Way

This is the approach from Sheffield Road from the M6 direction. The road works are now clear so keep an eye out for the bus stop and pedestrian crossing.

What3words: ///strut.visa.vote

This is what you’ll be faced with once through the gates. There are large containers that may make the approach tricky for HGVs. Large vans shouldn’t struggle.

If your vehicle needs to remain on site for the duration of the conference, it can be left in the staff car park – labelled ‘7’ on the site map (what3words: ///rips.remit.gravel).

Deliveries can be made up to a week prior to the event. They must be labelled ‘ABC CONFERENCE’ and sent FAO Amanda Suddaby.

For large/pallet deliveries, there will be a fee of £10 per hour for each staff member needed to unload, take them to a storage area, and bring them to your space on the day. Please contact anna@abcwalls.co.uk if you plan on doing this so it can be coordinated. Not all staff are full time so there may be additional charges if staff need to be brought in.
