Seminar 2 – Safeguarding and Child Protection a Managers Perspective

This workshop is to give Climbing Wall Managers & Owners the knowledge and understanding of how to address the issue of Safeguarding & Child Protection. Child Protection being an aspect of Safeguarding. What is currently best practice will also be discussed and advised on.

Safeguarding needs to be an integral part of an organisations’ Safety Management System. The workshop will include advice on how this is best achieved in order to Safeguard children, staff and the organisation itself. The important issue of Duty of Care will also be addressed.

In addressing this workshop content will include documentation, staff recruitment, staff training, recording of training, recording incidents and reporting procedure. How to inform, educate and be inclusive with parents will also be discussed.
